The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), through the Division of Housing's State Housing Board, awarded over $6.38 million to support the creation or preservation of 147 rental units. Additionally, the board awarded $18.1 million for the addition of up to 87 homeownership units statewide, including 62 permanent condominiums, to make housing more affordable for Coloradans.

The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) announced today that July’s round of rental assistance will open for pre-applications starting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024. Pre-applications will be open to the public until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Since its inception, the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) has been instrumental in helping more than 6,500 households across the state, with an average household assistance amount of $16,680. This support has been critical in preventing foreclosures and keeping families in their homes. Applications for EMAP are due June 7, 2024.

The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), through the Division of Housing's State Housing Board, voted on, approved, and awarded $16,050,000 for 465 additional affordable housing units and $2,388,000 in down payment assistance to an estimated 80 households across the state.
