Since its inception, the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) has been instrumental in helping more than 6,500 households across the state, with an average household assistance amount of $16,680. This support has been critical in preventing foreclosures and keeping families in their homes. Applications for EMAP are due June 7, 2024.

The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), through the Division of Housing's State Housing Board, voted on, approved, and awarded $16,050,000 for 465 additional affordable housing units and $2,388,000 in down payment assistance to an estimated 80 households across the state.
