The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) announced today that the next round of rental assistance will open for pre-application starting on June 25, 2024. Pre-applications will be open to the public for three (3) days until 5:00 p.m. on June 27, 2024.

Since its inception, the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) has been instrumental in helping more than 6,500 households across the state, with an average household assistance amount of $16,680. This support has been critical in preventing foreclosures and keeping families in their homes. Applications for EMAP are due June 7, 2024.

The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), through the Division of Housing's State Housing Board, voted on, approved, and awarded $16,050,000 for 465 additional affordable housing units and $2,388,000 in down payment assistance to an estimated 80 households across the state.

Since its launch in February, the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) has provided housing support to more than 2,300 households through the Temporary Rental Assistance Grant initiative. Now, DOLA will launch the fourth and final round of pre-applications for the Temporary Rental Assistance Grant initiative, which in total provided $30 million in temporary rental assistance to Coloradans at risk of eviction or displacement or who meet income limits and other qualifying factors and associated housing support services.

The Third Round of the Temporary Rental Assistance Grant Will Be Open From April 15, 2024 to April 20, 2024.
