To be eligible for Proposition 123 funding, jurisdictions must file a commitment with DOH within the timeframe of June 1 to November 1. DOH anticipates opening commitment filings each year by June 1.
The deadline for submissions annually is November 1st.
Programs funded by Proposition 123 have application deadlines throughout the year. Depending on specific criteria outlined within those programs, funding may be available before the November 1 Commitment Filing deadline. DOH encourages local governments to commit as soon as jurisdictions are ready to do so.

If a local or tribal government fails to meet its commitment by the end of the 3-year funding cycle, projects in that jurisdiction will be ineligible to receive Proposition 123 funding during the first year of the next 3-year cycle. That jurisdiction will have the opportunity to file a new 2-year commitment after that year of ineligibility.
