The Colorado Resiliency Working Group, a multi-agency committee convened by the Colorado Resiliency Office and charged with overseeing the Colorado Resiliency Framework (CRF), released the 2024 Annual Progress Report today, which presented progress made in 2024 toward implementation of the Framework’s priority strategies.
This includes updates related to 2024 legislation and programs, including land use and housing legislation, which aims to create more housing near transit for Coloradans of all budgets, successful drawdowns of historic federal funding and implementation of those projects, and community success stories in building resilience.
“We are so proud of the progress made in making Colorado's communities safer, healthier, more economically resilient,” said Maria De Cambra, DOLA’s Executive Director. “DOLA's Colorado Resiliency Office is a leader in the space, prioritizing extensive engagement with local leaders and fellow state agencies to identify resilience strategies that apply in the real world.”
In this report, strategy progress is outlined in each of the Priority Implementation Areas, which were developed through an extensive collaborative process that included three cross-sector resiliency summits, a risk and vulnerability assessment, and work with third party consultants. The Priority Implementation Areas are:
- Agriculture and Food Security
- Buildings and Infrastructure Sustainability
- Climate and Natural Hazards
- Community Capacity
- Future Ready Workforce and Economy
- Housing Attainability
Released on January 22, 2025, the 2024 Annual Progress Report is available in all new, completely digital format to support digital accessibility.
