Direct Support Sessions for Child Care Facility Projects

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), in partnership with Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC), offers direct support sessions to help communities and project leaders advance child care facility development.

This support is available outside of the scheduled TA cohort sessions and is designed to provide timely, flexible guidance for projects that are ready to move forward but need expert help.

What You Can Expect

  • A 30-minute technical assistance (TA) session for specific questions related to the development of child care facilities. Additional follow-up sessions can be scheduled as available.
  • Support may include: navigating regulations, facility planning, project financing strategies, or connecting with toolkits and resources.
  • Requests are reviewed weekly. If your project is eligible, you will be contacted to schedule time with the TA team.
  • Direct support sessions will include general recommendations and answers to questions. If more in-depth technical knowledge or time is needed, then the Childcare Facility Development TA Cohort may be a better fit and you will be provided with information about potential resources to pursue.
  • After a support session, you will receive a shared documentation file with notes, next steps, and resources provided.

Who Should Request Direct Support?

  • Communities or organizations pursuing child care facility development - this may be for a specific facility or for community development more generally.

Who is Not Eligible for this Support

  • If you are not an eligible entity listed above or represent the interests or project management of an eligible entity, you may still be able to apply.
