Emergency Rental Assistance Program
The Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) can help cover rent as far back as April 2020. Help can include past due, current, and two additional months of rent up to a maximum of 15 months of assistance. The landlord or the tenant can start the application process, but receiving assistance requires documentation from both the tenant and the landlord.
Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program
The Colorado Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) provides financial assistance on behalf of income-eligible homeowners who have experienced a financial hardship associated with the COVID-19 health crisis.
The Division of Housing (DOH) partners with local communities to create housing opportunities for Coloradans who face the greatest challenges to accessing affordable, safe, and secure homes. DOH supports projects ranging from homelessness prevention to homeownership. Our work includes:
- Increasing and preserving Colorado’s inventory of affordable housing
- Managing rental assistance vouchers
- Creating and supporting collaborative approaches to end homelessness
- Regulating Mobile Home Parks, and the construction and installation of factory-built structures
